I've already connected my webcam to my computer, and started my mEye™ client. Why am I not connected to the server still?

If it is the first time running the mEye™ software, you will find that Account >Configure is disabled. After a while, you will see a pop up message. Click OK. Enter all the required information and click OK. You should be then connected to the server. Make sure that all information keyed in are correct.


How do I change my camera's name?

If you want to update your camera name to other names, you can do it by going to Configure->Account Then, enter your new camera name and click OK. Make sure your camera name is not a duplicate name of an existing camera which has been added already and is active. Your camera names should not be named as the following : LISTPRIVATE, TEST, LIST, LISTBUDDY, HELP.


Why isn't my mEye™ detecting my webcam?

Make sure that your webcam is properly connected to your computer and restart your mEye™ client again.


Why does it say I have duplicate camera name when I attempt to change my camera's name?

Ensure that camera's name is not of an existing camera which has been added and is active. m-Eye™ software does not allow 2 identical camera names registered under the same mobile phone number.


Why doesn't my mEye™ client show live images from my webcam?

Ensure that these settings have been done:

Data Source

Select your camera from Capture Source. If you have multiple capture source in the list. Please select one only for mEye software.

Format

Ensure Resolution is set to 320x240 (or similar), and Pixel Depth is set to either RGB 24, RGB 555, 24 bits, or 16 bits.


I have forgotten my password. How do I retrieve it?

Go to www.meye.com.my and click on the "Forgot Password?" link. You will be directed to a page to enter your mobile phone number. A sms with your password will then be sent to your mobile phone.
